This is the cover of Cartoons weekly. The biggest thing I really enjoy about this cover is the Title. It really sets the two ideas of cars and cartoons together. The most obvious is the dramatic color change from red to black to separate car. After that was established the other details ad more emphasis with the flames coming out of the "exhaust" and the two tires for the o's. as for the rest of the cover i fell that placement is working well filling up the space but also keeping it open and simple. the one issue I would have to comment on is the text " New cartoon caption contest". It feels very tight between the truck and the margin and even the last letters overlapping the truck making it hard to read.

This is the June edition for Marketing Magazine. The four color (plus black and white) illistration really popped out at me. It is very simple buildings in the back with a little more detailed man in the foreground which gives the illusion of depth. It also has a cool affect of the letters trailing off him suggesting bits from the digital computer age. all of the type is at the top of the magazine to not disrupt the illustration which is nice but I think that the wording might be long. However it is all separated by different colors that where sampled from the illustration that helps break it down to be more manageable to read.
